Our community trees play an important role during the pandemic as more people are going outside to breathe “fresh air.”
But city budgets have been slashed and tree care in some states has slowed due to the pandemic. Meanwhile new invasive insects like the Lantern Fly continue to impact the health of our trees.

It is encouraging that there is such a strong international effort to protect and care for our trees, and we must continue being vigilant in educating our government officials and the public about the critical importance of tree health to our health.
